My Story
"We're supporting Amy Martin for Mayor. She's proven her principles and ideals don't change under pressure. She maintains the "long view" of Norfolk's potential. She represented Port Dover honourably on Council, and Norfolk County at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. She's demonstrated that she has a great capacity to listen to all sides of arguments before exercising her influence on issues. Norfolk County is moving into an era of smart growth and improved local service delivery - infrastructure like roads, bridges, communications and local recreation - will benefit from Amy's leadership." - Paul and Heather Anderson, Walsingham

"To propel Norfolk County forward, the next steps require Staff and Council cohesiveness, transparency, and a collective of strategic thinkers. We need a leader that sets the expectation that our residents need to be heard- in all corners of Norfolk. Amy is an open minded, unifying leader that cares deeply about all of Norfolk and has the past 4 years of experience to help direct Council's decisions to give us value for our taxpayer dollars." - Steve Flexman Norfolk County business owner.
"Amy Martin represents all of Norfolk County. She is hard-working, fair and transparent. She values staff and shares her appreciation in many valuable ways. Amy is a lifelong resident of Norfolk, and her history, pride, for the community and desire to collaborate with Council, staff, the public, other levels of government, and all other stakeholders, makes her the ideal candidate for Mayor of Norfolk County. I had the pleasure of working with Amy while an employee at the County. She has my full endorsement for this post! I see great accomplishments for the County with her leadership!" - Stephanie Godby, Windham Centre

"4 years ago, Amy Martin was voted in as Port Dover's councillor. She has done a brilliant job for our area and continues to be dynamic, accessible and hard-working. She's advocated for a variety of sectors across Norfolk and has proven she can be a leader and deliver. Amy has my full confidence and support for Mayor." -Jamie Suprun, Port Dover resident, Simcoe business owner.

"Since settling in Port Dover I have been hearing such positive things about our local councillor Amy Martin. Smart, hardworking and able to bring people together on important issues. Now Amy is running for Mayor of Norfolk, and I think she is an excellent candidate. I'm supporting Amy. She will be a great leader of our County Council". - Phil Gillies former MPP of Brantford.

"Responsive. Prepared. Education. Involved. Vocal. Those are just a few words that come to mind when I think of Amy Martin. Have you ever watched a council meeting? If not, you should. She asks the questions to get the proper answers to make the right decision. She's prepared, and has already done a lot of the homework on the issue. She's not afraid to voice her concerns or concerns of the residents of Norfolk (not just her ward).
She gets things done. I'm not a resident of her ward, but when I have an issue, I talk to both my councillor and Amy. Amy is very responsive and typically gets me answers within a few hours - sometimes within minutes. She already represents and works with all of Norfolk County, not just her ward.
Amy is involved in our community. She lives and breaths Norfolk. She volunteers her time at community events, she shops local, eats local, promotes local in her social media, she's active on social and present in the community. She has helped put Norfolk on the map and shares all the amazing things Norfolk County has to offer. I don't know anyone in Norfolk who's more proud of Norfolk County or promotes everything Norfolk has to offer more than Amy.
Amy has already proven that she's present in the community, that she loves and supports Norfolk, that she is available to help anyone, anytime, and that she's willing to help Norfolk residents no matter the ward or issue.
As Mayor, Amy will make a difference, get tasks done and put an even bigger star on the map for Norfolk County." - Amie Ferris, Long Point, Port Rowan resident and business owner.

"When I first learned of Amy's intention to run for council 4 years ago, I did my best to warm her about the difficult challenges she would undoubtedly face. Amy has met these head on and has represented Ward 6 confidently and passionately. I expect the same passion and leadership in the next 4 years as Mayor of Norfolk County."
- Dr. David Horton, Simcoe

"Amy Martin is the strong choice for Mayor in the upcoming election. I met Amy over ten years ago when she was organizing a community fundraiser for the local schools. Since that meeting, Amy has not stopped promoting Norfolk and dedicating a majority of her professional life to ensuring Norfolk and its residents are informed and taken care of. She is a breath of fresh air and I would be proud to call Amy our mayor. As a business owner in Norfolk County, an employer and a community member we could not have a better candidate doing the work she does." -Jordan Gawley, Black Creek Music/Capitol 33 - Delhi

"Amy Martin is the Mayoral Candidate that Norfolk County deserves. She is smart, hardworking, she champions our communities and has the best vision for our collective future. Our family is proud to support her to be our next Mayor." -Carly Pettinger, Long Point

"Throughout Amy's current term in local politics, she took the time to communicate and provide productive feedback/solutions. Even though Amy represented another ward, she always returned my call and provided responses to my enquiries. Amy took a whole county approach in her communications when I was looking to gain a better insight." - Hayden Dooney, local apple grower, Suncrest Orchards

"Amy has always worked for the best interest of everyone in Norfolk. Despite not being my ward councillor, she responds thoughtfully whenever I contact her about a concern or a problem. She listens to the voices of the vulnerable in our community, putting them first in her decisions and votes. She is not afraid to change her mind when presented with new information in order to ensure that her votes and actions represent what is truly best for everyone in Norfolk. And not only that, she's a frequent bookstore customer, which demonstrates her great taste and desire to learn!" - Catherine Wiebe, Owner of Firefly and Fox Bookstore downtown Simcoe.

"When Covid hit, it was very hard for the swim team. The County had increased the fees and I had spoken to many people and councillors about this concern. Amy was very supportive. She even gave her own personal money to help us keep going. She has been in touch to see how we are doing. We're truly blessed our team now has a sponsor. Thank you Amy from the Simcoe Seals." - Shirley Shaw, head coach Special Olympics Simcoe Seals swim team.

"Observing and communicating with council over the past four years, it is obvious that Amy fills all the criteria one wants to see in a Mayor. She was prepared for each meeting, displayed a willingness to lead, presented excellent communication skills and teamwork ability. I have no doubt she could lead Norfolk for the next four years and beyond. Taxpayers would feel pride having her as the face of Norfolk County and the head of council." -Nick Vranckx, St Williams, Blueberry Hill Estates
